Round of applause
Check out this feature in the current edition of Urban Tulsa Weekly: Crafting a New Niche.
That's right -- it's an article about the indie craft movement starring the Tulsa Craft Mafia's own Amby (TheKnitOwl) and Christine (weatherandnoise and suchprettythings). I'm so proud of them! The interview has great information on both ladies, what they do, and the Mafia itself.
Quick -- go read it!

Edwin the Sock Monkey
At left, Edwin the Sock Monkey gets down to some serious work. See his giant stack o' papers? Such a busy dude.
At right, Edwin takes a moment to relax in his enormous chair. Everyone needs a fifteen-minute break, right?
Over here, Edwin is hanging out on the computer. Yep, he's playing on the Internet. Can you believe he'd do that on the clock? The nerve! He wants to send swaps of his own, it seems.
And at right, my favorite monkey lies all splayed in a very undignified position. Are you sleepy or hungover, my little friend?
Here's some important info on the little guy:
Edwin is a clever, curious little boy. His mother was an argyle monkey, while his dad was a more classic grey and white. The two combined to become what you see before you. Edwin exhibits the unique synthesis quite well, with the finest features of both breeds. His thick, strong tail and beady blue eyes come from his father’s side, while his unique mouth oddly shaped ears were prominent features from his mother’s argyle family. Here are a few of Edwin’s vital statistics:
Name: Edwin the Sock Monkey
Age: 1 year
Sex: Male
Birthplace: A sewing room in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Favorite color: Orange
Favorite food: Bean burritos . . . and bananas, of course
Hobbies: Reading, knitting, climbing trees, taking bubble baths, watching ice hockey
Favorite animal: Humans
