WOW! Giveaway and logo winners

Last week, I asked you to vote for my logo in this post, casually joking that I’d be open to someone making me a real logo.

Along came Matersum, one of my Twitter friends, and, apparently, an incredibly sweet and talented lady. She took my little problem and turned it into a logo. For free. From the kindness of her heart. Check out the banner-style:

And the little square logo that is exactly what I needed for Indie Emporium:
Can you believe it? Thank you, thank you so much! You are such an incredible person to do this for me. I would be more than happy to send you a gift package if you are interested. Just let me know.

Now, in the interest of the original post, the winner was photo #1.

Thank you everyone for voting! And I promised a giveaway, and darn it, I meant it! Random.org picked comment #6 as the winner and that is . . .
Yay! Liz, I will put something together and have my taller half bring it to you on Monday.

Thanks again for everyone’s feedback and especially to the thoughtful person who went out of her way to make something so wonderful for me.

Happy Tuesday, all!

Indie Emporium 2010

It's official: I will be a vendor once again at this year's Indie Emporium!

I can't wait! Indie Emporium is one of my favorite shows ever, and if you attend, it'll be one of yours, too. Make sure to "like" it on Facebook. Here's my recap of last year.

In the meantime, I need your help! I have to submit a photo to represent my business by September 30, and I still don't have a logo. Someday, I keep saying. Until then, please vote for your favorite of the bottom four photos. To sweeten the deal, I will choose one commenter and send them a small surprise package. Just leave your vote by midnight on Monday, September 20.

1. Dappled in Sunlight Earring

2. Gilded Pachyderm Necklace

3. Lucky Turtle Bracelet (I used this one last year, too.)

4. Alice Ring

What do you think? Leave your vote in the comments section by midnight on Monday. And if someone is just dying to make me a real logo, I wouldn't turn them down. ;)

Giveaway!

In celebration of my new scrub fragrance, I've decided to hold a little giveaway here on the studio blog. The winner gets a 4 oz. jar of one of my scrubs -- your choice which scent. The four available fragrances are Caffe Vanilla (coffee grounds and vanilla extract), Orange Spice (sugar scrub with orange, cinnamon and clove), Rosemary Peppermint (salt with, well, rosemary and peppermint) and the all-new eand Rosewood (sugar with, yep, lavender and rosewood). All are made with natural oils, spices and wonderfully moisturizing safflower oil.

There's the new scent on the block, in all its pure-white-as-the-driven-snow glory.

Here's how to win:
1. Leave me a comment telling me which scrub makes you want to draw a hot bath and light a candle. Make sure to leave an email address or some way for me to contact you.
2. Tweet about the giveaway and comment here with the link.
3. Write a blog post about my contest and leave me a comment with the link.

Yep, that's three ways to win. The contest begins today and runs until Friday, December 11 at 4:00 p.m. Oklahoma time. Good luck!

Poll and contest winner!

Thanks to everyone who participated in my poll and left me comments! I went over to Random.org, who revealed my giveaway winner as . . . Funkybella! This lovely lady will receive one of my homemade scrubs and a crocheted washcloth. Katie, I'll get in touch with you for your prize.

I'm currently scheming up a new giveaway later this month, so stay tuned.

Take my poll!

Blue Dome was fun, though it wasn't nearly as profitable as last year according to most sellers. I'm sure the economy -- and Friday's wind-tastic weather -- is mostly to blame, though it's always a little disappointing. For all the gory details, go check out this post by Hollyrocks (whose coverage, by the way, more than rocks.)

Since I'm taking a little craft-showin' break, I'm trying to reevaluate what I sell at these events. What better way, I thought, than to ask all of you? So, if you wouldn't mind taking just a second to respond to the poll at the top right of the page, I'd greatly appreciate it. Bonus: If you respond and then leave me a comment of any kind, I'll enter you in a chance to win some Grey Eye Designs goodies. Ooo! Contest will run now through May 29 at 5 p.m. Happy voting and commenting!

The envelope please . . .

I am now ready to announce the winner of my first giveaway. Congratulations to . . .

Digital Misfit!

I'll email you immediately after posting this so we can work out the transaction. Thanks to everyone who entered! I'll do another giveaway in January.

In honor of all the fun, I listed my Christmas-themed memory wire bracelet on Etsy this morning. Check it out here.

Memory wire bracelets

As promised, here are some of the memory wire bracelets I've been making:

What a happy bunch of beads, wire, and charms! I've really been enjoying making these, but I'm running out of the "spacer" beads I used on most of them. To Hobby Lobby with me! Here's a close-up of the thick green one:
Go to yesterday's post for a chance to win one of these babies! You'll get to choose the color palette, what kind of charm you want in the middle, and if you want beads dangling from the ends.

I apologize for not posting these sooner. I've been a sicky pants the past two days. Stupid migraine. I'm back in action now, though. Look for more posts soon!

Giveaway!

Yep, I'm going to do my very first giveaway on my blog. I'm very excited! Based on the poll I did over the past week, most readers are interested in winning a memory wire bracelet. I've only just recently discovered the genius of memory wire, so I'm looking forward to making one especially for a wonderful reader.

The winner of my giveaway will receive a bracelet custom made for them. You pick the colors and the charm from my collection, and I'll make a piece just for you! The winner will be announced during the day on December 8 in my blog, and I'll also send you a private email to let you know you've won. Tomorrow, I'll do a post with example pictures of bracelets I've been making to give you an idea. In the meantime, you can search Etsy for examples.

Here's how to win:
1. Comment on this post by midnight CST (that's minus six hours from Greenwich Mean Time) on December 7, 2008. In your comment, please let me know what your favorite item from my shop is. Also make sure to leave a way for me to reach you to arrange shipping.
2. For an extra chance to win -- that's your name entered twice -- refer a friend to the contest, and make sure they put you as the person who referred them in their comment.
3. For another two chances to win -- that's a total of three just for commenting or four for recruiting someone, too -- mention my giveaway in a post in your blog. Make sure to leave the link as a comment to this post.

The winner will be chosen at random using a very scientific method (i.e. I will throw all the comments into a bowl and have my boyfriend choose the winner). The giveaway is open to everyone -- except you, Mom -- no matter where you live. Have fun entering, and make sure to tell everyone you know!
